Who: Aerith
What: Tending to things
Where: The ruined church
When: Morningtime
Interactions: Open
Warnings: None
So it's agreed, we will atone together.
Opening her vivid green eyes, the smell of water and flowers filling her nose and lungs. Slowly she pushed herself into sitting up and sighed, shaking her head. How could things have gone so badly? She couldn't even remember what happened after abandoning the scene at the crater. As though her body had been on autopilot, she tried to recall and could only get a blurred, water picture of herself nodding as she was dropped off, and spending...however long it had been, seemingly lying there half asleep. She hadn't even contacted her friends.
But there was something there. Nagging at the back of her mind. And then she remembered, she'd become very very sick after the freezing cold of the northern crater. Something happened to her while she was lying here, suffering from a horrible fever. That was all she could recall though, and she seemed to have regained her health now. So the auburn haired woman got to her feet and brushed some of the pollen off of her green dress. She picked up her meager possessions and gingerly she made her way out of the church and onto the streets as the early light cast everything in a gentle golden glow.
She loved the light and air of the mornings. It made everything feel fresh and new. And it held in it the promise of a new day.
A new day where Aerith realized she was suddenly very very hungry. Another problem with that missing chunk of time; She had no way of knowing when the last time she had a meal was. So the course was set. It would be down to the nearest diner for breakfast and a little bit of reconnisance. After all, someone there had to know what was going on in the world.
Then maybe later...she'd make a phone call...

Date: 2011-11-09 03:34 am (UTC)Looking over from where he was leaning against one of the walls of the little cafe he'd stopped at, Balthier sipped at a cup of coffee, smirking at the taste of the reused grounds, idly leaning over to spit a few errant gritty pieces into a barren flowerbed. "Hell of a town, Edge.." he stretched slightly, "Or is it still Midgar? I always get that confused.."

People often find difficulty in calling a place they've known for a long time something new when they can still remember what the city was like when the place was still filled with bustling streets and tall buildings, rather than a ruin with a town at the outskirts." Thinking about how Midgar had looked before Meteor brought a melancholy expression to the woman's face, and her emerald green eyes became a little watery before she managed to regain control of herself.

Date: 2011-11-10 04:07 pm (UTC)It was a good look on her, and the Sky Pirate tilted his head as he noticed her eyes shining with unshed tears, though she got a hold of herself. Smiling, he stepped in close, leaning in a bit and tipping the woman's chin up with a finger, "Ah, I did not mean to bring you any sadness with my question.. how thoughtless of me. My name is Balthier, a Sky Pirate of some renown.." he was proud of his profession, and exceedingly proud of the Strahl, "Though I must say, it is a surprise to find such a beautiful flower flourishing here, under the plate."

Well, actually that place". She waved slightly to the ruins. "What does a Sky Pirate do sir?" The woman questioned, showing her interest.
I suck at this lately :\
Date: 2011-11-21 04:25 pm (UTC)"A Sky Pirate, dear lady, roams the open skies wherever the wind takes him. From Mount Gagazet all the way to Alexandria aboard his personalized, custom airship. My own comes all the way from the Archadian Empire, my very first heist, truth be told." he spoke about his airship with a twinkle in his eye, the same way he might have spoken of a particularly skilled lover, "Retrieving all of the most valuable treasures and trinkets the world over, adventuring into the most highly prized and protected locales, selling goods far and wide.." theft, burglary, smuggling. All parts of his trade.
Yeah we do too v.v||
Date: 2011-11-26 06:27 pm (UTC)"You make it sound quite the noble thing" The woman commented. She was no fool, and understood what wasn't being said there. But living in this world took all kinds and she wasn't about to judge a man based soley on his occupation. Not anymore at least.
