Where: Forest outside Balamb Garden
When: Night time, after she goes to check up on a friend.
What: Namine and Pure kinda-sorta run into Rosso...and only one makes it back to the temple
Rated: PG-13
People always told her not to leave Balamb Gardens at night, but with Pure by her side the blonde thought it would be okay. After her time spent with Roxas (it was decent time, but she knew she wanted to spend more with the boy later) the blonde knew she had to get back before Zexion and Saix (not to mention a certain blonde nymph) would "worry" about her disappearance for the night.
The sun finally set behind the horizon as she entered the forests' heart, Pure keeping a steady pace besides her. The wolf had grown enough so, height-wise from the head, she was as tall as her mistress. The white-furred animal even had traces of what seemed to be feathered wings the same color as her fur, those resting upon her back. "Should we rest, Pure?" Namine's gentle voice reached the wolf's ears, the small, childish hand resting on the canine's neck. Pure shook her head--they had to keep going. Namine nodded and pressed on with her companion--she wasn't tired yet, but they would need the energy to fight.
After all, who knew what lurked in the woods at this time of night? Namine certainly didn't.
Rosso had been bored in town. The petty inhabitants knew who she was now, which in itself was enjoyable, but annoying nonetheless when they managed to hide. But, she recognized the blonde when she saw her head into the forest.
A smile curled upon her crimson lips as she followed quietly, making sure not to be seen. She wanted to scare the Nobody, and to trap her. After all, what would annoy the high maintenance of Balamb more then loosing their pretty little plaything?
"You know.." She spoke, her heavy accent amused. ".. the forest might be dangerous at night. You never know what might be lurking in the bushes." She dropped down from a tree right in front of Namine.
The blonde, had she gained the emotions of her Somebody, would have been terrified. Of course, Namine was unique--She did not have a heart, but she showed emotions, as one could see by the surprised yelp and the jolt backwards from the crimson-armored female. Forcing herself to remain calm, Namine quickly glanced at the face of her opponent....and her face paled.
Rosso.
Namine remembered their previous encounter with a visible shiver, her hand giving a quick squeeze to Pure's fur. Said wolf had hackles raised and was growling lowly at the newcomer--something about her the wolf didn't and would not like.
"....Its....a pleasant surprise to see you again...." Namine finally murmured towards the woman, looking towards the wolf at her side and gently patting its head in an effort to calm it down.
Oh how she wished she brought Memory along with her...!
"Oh, such a cute little puppy." She smirked at the wolf. "It will be fun to see its blood taint the fur." She redirected her eyes to Namine. "Don't worry, I do not plan on killing you. Yet." She moved closer, her weapon drawn now.
For every step that Rosso took forwards, Namine took one step back. Pure fell in line with her mistress, ears flattening at the sight of the weapon and the growls ceasing--she knew it would be better to flee with Namine then to let this madwoman take her away.
Namine still managed to keep pace, at least, until she found herself with her back against a tree. Pure still rested by her side, warily watching the crimson-eyed woman. "W...what is it that you want from me, Rosso?" The girl asked timidly, having a bad feeling she already knew...
Rosso moved forward closer and closer, each step confident and elegant. "What want? I want you. I need you to gain something, thus, it would be alot better if you just came willingly. But I can of course kill your puppy first. Would be so much more fun."
"...Don't harm Pure." The girls voice tried to be serious, but of course it wavered. Pure snarled, but Namine hit the wolf on the nose, making her yelp in surprise. "Go....Pure, I'm not going to let you get hurt." She then turned those baby-blue eyes onto the woman approaching her. "I...I'll come with you, if you promise to let Pure go without her getting hurt."
...She is trying to negotiate....wow...Maybe Zexion and Roxas rubbed off on her in terms of attitude?
Rosso gave one of her rolling laughs, resting her weapon on her shoulder. "Like you have anything to negotiate with. I can just kill it anyways and take you. You will not be able to stop me however you try."
"...I know...." The blonde looks down and away, the wolf is moving away from the woman, eyes darting from her mistress to the crimson woman. This all seems so useless, so hopeless...Namine knows defeat from earlier times, and she realizes that this is one fight she will not win, no matter how hard she tried.
For one thing, she is happy that the bag on her shoulder from earlier still has her communication device and her sketchbook and drawing supplies. She'll probably be needing them.
Rosso smirked, loading her gun. "Run puppy, run." she raised her gun and fired after the wolf.
"Pure!" the girl cried as said wolf took a bullet wound to the right shoulder before yelping and, tail in-between her legs, fleeing as fast as her legs can carry her, the blood spilling down to the paws and leaving prints in places...
Namine is indeed terrified now, as she turns to look back at the woman while still stuck against the tree. She knew the wolf would either find Roxas, Saix or Zexion...or even Sora, and they would fear for the worst. But she hoped...that maybe this would not be as bad as it seemed...
What a childish hope that was.
Rosso lowered the gun again, after having fired a shower of bullets after the wolf, grinning as she saw the blood trail. She smirked to herself as she turned to face Namine. "If we are lucky, she will bleed out in the forest. I know there are some interesting predators out here." She moved in strides over to Namine, a gloved hand shooting out and grabbing her by the neck, lifting her up. "Now. If you would be so kind to come with me. " Not that the other had much choice of course.
...That was kind of not the way she expected to be grabbed. The girl gave a choked gasp, her hands quickly moving to grab at the hand on her neck, eyes closing, breathing quickening to try and stay concious as she gave a quick nod in the womans' direction.
Namine was basically a perfect example of what Rosso would probably want in a pet; a little bit of spunk, submissiveness, obedience, and just a eye-catcher when scared.
Rosso smirked at the young Nobody, her crimson eyes narrowing. Perhaps the girl would be of more use then just a hostage after all. She pulled to heave her over her shoulder instead. It was rather unpractical to carry someone with an outstretched hand. She bent her knees, and leapt into a tree, heading back to her hideout.
It was a small farm a bit outside of Balamb town. The Family had of course been massacered. It had been most fun to have them watch each other die slowly. The nice screams. Oh how she had loved it.
Finally, a chance for air....but over the shoulder she went. Namine wanted to flail, but she kept her bag instead as she watched a red-specked white blur rush out of the forest before closing her eyes to the sickening feeling in her stomach from the darting in the trees that Rosso did while heading...who knew where.
Namine was grateful as soon as they touched the ground, and she managed to take a look around at the surroundings before Rosso started walking towards something she couldn't see. This place...was...well...quaint. And quiet.
Too quiet. Talk about a mental freak-out?
The farm was just a small house and a small barn where the animals were no longer. Rosso saw no reason to keep them alive. Still carrying Naminè, the tall redhead moved into the main house, tossing Naminè into a corner, without even tying her up. She did not need to, in her eyes. "Try to escape, and you die, understood?"
Namine blinked as they passed through a doorway, and the blonde tried to picture what happened....until she was flung into a corner and hit the wall with a yelp and a flinch, falling to the floor in a heap. The girl looked up quickly and gave a quick nod before glancing around her at the house, taking it all in. "...am I allowed to explore this house?" She asked--maybe there was a small room she could stay in that would provide some comfort away from this woman.
Rosso snorted, before giving a wave with her hand. "You may." A small reward. Rosso had had enough hostages to know how to make someone develop Stockholm syndrome. Give pain, then give rewards if something good is done. It was like training a disobedient dog. When the dog was bad, scold. If it was good, reward. That way, the would come to want to die for you.
amine was one of those kind of people who had been in a situation similar to that, but had grown out of it. She did fear for her own safety, but maybe....She shivered, thinking of her poor wolf who was shot as she grabbed her books and with a small nod towards the woman left her presence to flee up the stairs and find a small room.
Which she did, and apparentally it belonged to a woman, for the colors were pastel-like but plain--perfect for the little memory witch, she supposed. Setting her bag on a chair, she walked over to the window-seated window draped with simple cotton curtains and glanced out to the starry sky. I'm sorry... she thought before looking back at the door, just in case Rosso decided to follow the blonde up.
Rosso did indeed watch the girl from the door, her expression narrowed. She did not trust the girl. Of course, Rosso did not trust anyone. She had no reason too. "I will watch every move you make, girl. Do not even attempt any foolishness. I will know of it if you do."
"...Does drawing count as foolishness...?" She had to ask, looking at the sketchbook and crayon-like pencils now resting on the bed before looking back towards the woman who she indeed considered 'scary'.
At least...for the moment she was terrifying...
Rosso eyes the book, before huffing. "You may draw. " She gave a sudden smile. It was not kind. Rosso did not do kind smiles. But at least it was not a killing smile.
Namine nodded in understanding, getting up and walking over to it to flop on her stomach on the fluffy bed and open the book. She looked up then, caught the smile, and then smiled back slightly before starting to draw.
She definitely wouldn't try anything funny...honestly--not with that look the girl was given...
Rosso turned on her heel, heading downstairs. She had placed up several booby-traps in the area. if the Nobody tried to escape, then she would be blown into pieces.
