The fact that Maiyah didn't speak about the war anymore concerned her. Whenever she wasn't allowed to know something or something was too hard to say, Shuyin would do the same thing. Silence before a new subject. If she was honest, that ticked her off.

Her jump came up short and Lenne's fingers just caught the edge of the ledge, a scream escaping instinctively as she grabbed on with the fingertips of both hands, a cavernous drop below her. Grunting, she felt her hands slipping and tried desperately to keep a hold.
