Earlier when Sephiroth had brought Aerith into the base, Kadaj had been playing a handheld videogame in the main lobby, something he had picked up while he was out. Picked up out of a kid's hands the instant he saw it and became fascinated that is to say. However, the sound of Seph talking to someone was enough to draw his eyes away from the glowing screen. When he heard the other voice his eyes widened. The sound of a digital voice saying "GAME OVER" came from the small speakers of the little console. Not moving his head Kadaj laid the device on the desk in front of him and was quickly on his feet. He stood against the wall with his ear practically against it. That was her voice all right, his ears weren't playing tricks on him.

After a while he heard only one pair of footsteps getting louder. In two giant steps and a quick hop, Kadaj was back in that chair with the mini videogame in his hands looking as engrossed as ever. His eyes flicked towards the wristband cell phone when it made a small clacking sound as it was laid on the counter. He just shook his head with a smile and continued button mashing. He waited for quite a while after Sephiroth had left the base again before he put the game down again and snatched the wrist phone from the counter. He made his way to the prison cells where he was sure she had to be held. All the while he was examining the nifty cell phone. He tested the durability of either end of the band and was quite impressed. When he arrived at the prison cell that housed her, he put his arms on the barred window and peered in.

"You know I really didn't think I'd ever see the day you'd be in here." he said to Aerith.
