The trip to Balamb Garden had gone smoothly. The Prima Vista was safely docked and the stage prepared ready for the performance. The band had been rehearsing and were ready for their show.

Blank had decided on performing 'I Want To Be Your Canary', a classic favourite. Marcus would be playing the lead, and Ruby as his love interest. Blank and Cinna would be playing their usual roles.

Everything was ready, now all they had to do was wait for the crowds to spill in.

Blank caught sight of Quistis and couldn't help but smile. He had really enjoyed their 'date', even if it was just coffee and cakes. It had been fun.

Tantalus were still waiting for the crowds to spill in and settle down, so he slipped away from the group and made his way over. "Looking forward to the show?" he asked, kneeling on the seat in front of her, arms resting on the back of it.

Quistis was so busy scanning the stage that she didn't noticed Blank until she heard his voice. Though she hardly leapt from her seat, she visibly moved in her chair.

"Ah, Blank, hello."

Watching him, she couldn't help but smile softly. Her eyes brightened but her voice remained almost stern.

"Yes. Quite a crowd you've pulled in."

"Heh. It's a great looking crowd. I'm pretty excited. Things are pretty much ready to go, so I'm just taking a few minutes before we start."

He kept his arms on the back of the seat, resting his chin on them, watching Quistis with a smile. "You look very pretty tonight, Ms Trepe, it must be said."

Again, she surveyed the seating area as people milled about, chatting excitedly and laughing as they looked for their seats. But her eyes were caught by Blank's, aware that he was looking at her. Flushing softly, she shuffled back in her chair, still sitting upright. Her eyes lowered, sweeping over the dress she had chosen for the evening.

"Thank you."

"I guess I should go get ready to show you what I can do, huh?" He gave her a wink and blew her a kiss, before hopping off of the seat.

"Be sure to look out for me."

Quistis's lips parted, just gaping at the wink. But with the blown kiss, her lips promptly shut and she flushed a deeper red, glancing around to see if anyone had noticed. Clearing in throat, she pushed up her glasses, nodding in Blank's direction.

"I will."
