OOC: By the way Kris, Edea and Zax STILL has no tag T_T!!!! THANKYOU ^____^

Zax heaved a small sigh as he wove through the streets of Agrabah, pushing merchants, peasants, men and women alike with equal disdain. The city's poor dotted the street like pest-ridden husks of humanity, and he treated them as such. The man was dressed in loose, baggy clothing, rather than his normally tight-fitting garb, and the entirety was black or dark brown. He still carried his sword, though he hadn't used it in some time.. A lot of his mannerisms had changed, come to think of it, though he hadn't taken notice of it. The man was obviously leading the way; though he hadn't issued any kind of commands except to people he moved aside to allow his Sorceress passage.

Edea had garbed herself in a long piece of silken cloth, wrapped about her in a robe, to cover over her long black dress and gloves. She was slightly unsettled by the way he was simply leading their passage, but she said nothing - for really she had no reason to want to touch the people around them, that reeked of filth and perversion. She watched him for the time being as she followed along silently, the only view was the shadowed visage of her porcelain features, and those golden eyes, glowing behind the shadow of the veil.

A smaller man ran by, brushing against Zax, but the Knight swung around, clapping a hand on the back of his neck, sneering. Zax didn't sneer. He squeezed, the man's eyes bugging out of his face a bit, and wrested his wallet out of the man's hand, likely snapping his wrist in the process. Almost effortlessly, Zax tossed the man aside, "Filthy street-rat.." the words were muttered, and he rolled his broad shoulders, "Hmph, we should be gone from here, Edea."

Edea had watched in amusement, which was until he told her what to do. She stopped, and looked at him, her voice going low, "You did ... not just ... think to order me to follow like some dog" she said with a dangerous glint to her words, her eyes beginning to glow as she moved closer to him

"Of course not. I simply know the area, the customs, and how to hold myself in this situation." he frowned at Edea for her bemusement, and raised a brow at her, tilting his head to one side. "What's gotten into you anyway?" he'd done his best to clear the street for her, and now she was chewing him out for some imagined slight? Ptsh.

"And how would you know Zax? You've never been here before in your life" she said simply, following along with him out of sheer annoyance, grasping at the cowl of her cloak.

Zax shrugged softly, and looked around, "Good question. I don't exactly know, but I knew how t'get to market row, and I could walk us right up into th'palace if I wanted to. Any ideas about that? Hell, I even know where th'hell we're goin'." really, the man had no idea just what was going on with him.

Edea stopped in her tracks, and looked at him with wide eyes. In a sudden burst she was brushing past him, starting to shout rather loudly in his direction in a different language. "[Russian]I come all the way across the globe to be mouthed off to by my own bodyguard? Inconceivable! I'd be better off walking around in broken glass shoes in a sea of Lemons" She shook her head and continued on, uncaring of where she was headed.

The man rolled his eyes almost intolerantly, following along behind Edea as she ranted in what was a foreign tongue to him. He muttered something foul in Arabic, a nearby woman giving a little shriek at his terminology, but he followed anyway. She'd calm down eventually.

Unfortunately for Zax, Edea understood the phrase and spun around on her heel, staring at him intently. "[Russian] Fucking pig watch your language!" her hand began to crackle with energy, as she intended to knock some sense into her mouthy knight, her pupils sliding to slits.

Zax recognized the threat almost immediately, though he still didn't understand her tongue. Jafar, on the other hand, didn't quite see the appeal of having his fleshly vessel destroyed, so he took a more direct approach. The dark-haired man's skin reddened somewhat, and his eyes took on an amber quality, blackened bands appearing on his wrists as the cosmically powerful genie inhabiting Zax's mind took a firmer grasp on the man. Still speaking his native Arabic, Jafar settled comfortably into the meat. "I have had about enough of that, Edea." the way Jafar hissed her name was dismissive, and ruthless.. not Zax at all.

Edea would normally seem rather shocked at the change in her Knight, but at this moment she was less than amused, "Do not make me consider melting your lamp. How dare you continue this demeaning candor to me? I hold your freedom, genie do be well aware" she growled, using the energy to hit him hard against the face regardless of its use, turning and heading quickly down the road on her own.

Jafar smirked inwardly, well aware of his own limitations. He receded from Zax enough to let the man take the brunt of Edea's assault, his now-mortal head snapping back. He dropped almost bonelessly to the ground, physically strong, but quite receptive to magical attacks, given the amount of reshaping his mind had been taking. Like or not, that was quite a slap, and they were now causing a scene.

Edea sighed, and returned to his side, hauling him up with a Reviving spell and yanking him to his feet, still rather flustered and upset as they walked through the square, unable to look at the man fully. Tears had welled in the corners of her eyes as she trudged along.

Zax followed in a dazed manner, the look in his glowing eyes rather subservient when Jafar wasn't exerting any will or control. Really, he'd been driven to extremes over this.. either Jafar was too in control, or Zax was left to himself, and all of his suppressed desires to simply make Edea happy and safe surged forth. He was somewhat like a puppy, just then.

Edea pulled him towards a quiet area and slumped against the wall, running her hands across her face slowly and grasping at her hair. She looked tired, and torn, shaking her head softly.

The man gave his head a shake, and looked around, raising his brows, "Er.. where's this? I mean.. well.. doesn't that just beat all?" he glanced around with suspicious eyes, then looked at Edea, "Okay.. weird thing; I know where we are. How'd we get here Edea? S'wrong?" he recalled parts of things, but he hadn't been left to himself in so long it was a little odd for him.

"You started speaking to me like I was a dog to lead about" she said softly, her head down, as she withdrew from him, knowing what was wrong with him. she said with a sigh, shaking her head.

"Eh? Naw, that ain't like me." he sounded a little shaken, and when she pulled away, the man looked about as forlorn as forlorn got. If she didn't want to be near him, well, what -had- he done..?

Edea looked up at him, and sighed, "You said something offensive enough in Arabic to make the populous of women around us offended along with me" she said softly, "then when I went to smack you, you threatened me. So I hit you anyway" she said with a sigh, cursing under her breath in Russian, and looking rather guilty at that moment. What had she really done. She was letting this monster destroy the control that Zax had of his own mind. He wasn't doing these things of his own accord; he was being led around by strings.

Zax raised a brow, perturbed by her explanation of what he'd done, "Eh..? I don't even speak Arabic, Edea." he also didn't know what she'd been saying in Russian, "But if I did something t'piss ya off and make ya hit me, well.. I'm sorry. I won't do it again.." his tone was beseeching, as he wanted her approval, as always..

"I wish I could believe that fully Zax ... I really wish I could" she looked up, and even went so far as to stroke his cheek, her hands charged with a healing magick to soothe the injury. "But I know you don't intend to do it. We just have to get that lamp then things will go back to normal huh?" she said softly. in her casting, without the proper meditation and focus, casting was a drain on her. She had exhausted herself with a simple few spells

He made a soft noise, looking terribly saddened for a moment, before resolve took him. "We'll get that lamp, then. That's what matters, that way I won't wind up doing something to displease you like that." he looked around for a little while, then noticed that Edea seemed tired.. "Can I get there myself, while you rest?"

"No. I may not be able to go into the cavern with you but I will not have you going alone" she said resolutely, getting to her feet, "I'll just carry on" she stumbled slightly, but took a deep breath, and pushed the exhaustion aside, standing up, and wishing for the moment that she had a walking cane with her, even if it was slightly unbecoming a woman of her status.

The man nodded, and slipped up close to Edea, putting an arm around her and getting one of hers around his shoulders, supporting Edea as he had since becoming her Knight. "If you insist, Edea.. I want to put this whole lamp thing behind us.."

"As do I ... as do I. We'll have to see if we can't find a faster way to get back home after this mess is over" Edea shifted and slowly began to walk, forcing her body to keep moving as she looked about.

"Why not go by airship..?" the man chuckled softly, and helped Edea along, holding her up with a little smile, wondering if she hated him as much as it seemed.. Or at least couldn't stand to be near him as much as it seemed..

Edea's face darkened for a second, as she stood still, her voice a soft grumble, "i cannot stand flying" she said simply, before starting to walk again.

"Oh.. well, er, okay then." he didn't argue the point, nor did he contest it. It was the easiest way, sure, but that didn't mean Zax got to tell Edea what to do. Or did he? Jafar was already beginning to influence him again, though subtly.. "Will any of your spells do that sort of thing?"

"My teleportation is unreliable at best. We'd have to speak to a mage for such spell craft" she said simply, pondering as she continued to walk along, sighing to herself.

"Well, maybe it'll be better on th'return." he tried to remain chipper in the face of her seemingly down spiraling mood. After all, he didn't want to contribute to it any more than he knew he had. And he must have, for her to have hit him like that.

Edea looked at him, and sighed softly. She didn't know how long Jafar would leave her knight alone, but she could assume it wouldn’t' be for too long. She accepted his aid while it came along, taking his guidance easily.

Honestly, Zax was a much nicer, less abrasive person when Jafar had withdrawn, but there were parts of him that had been changed entirely. His reaction to her needs, for instance, was direct and to the point, with no negotiations or compromise. If she needed something, or he thought she did, he got it. No matter what. To that end, though, Zax wasn't telling her what to do, or hurting people or acting like he owned the place, "Where do we go now?"

"We are going to need transport and supplies to get through the desert, so I would figure we need to head towards the market area of this ramshackle place and see if we can't get there as quickly as possible

"Right, the market, okay." Zax smiled and, after stopping to get his bearings, quickly managed to follow the noise, and the smells, to the busiest street in Agrabah. It was huge, and stretched from one end of the city to the other, but was undoubtedly the marketplace. Some people flinched away from him as he passed, and the man looked confused for a moment, before remembering that he'd been being a jerk.

Edea looked around, and tried to speak to someone, but was ignored, making her huff slightly, and look at Zax in confusion

Zax frowned, and, with his free hand, seized the man by the scruff of his neck, hauling him around. With a friendly smile that belied the threat in his tone, he spoke softly, "Th'lady was talkin' t'you, friend."

Edea smiled, and proceeded to begin ordering what she assumed they would need for travel, humming softly as she watched the man begin to scramble about.

The Knight chuckled softly, and held Edea close and protectively, making sure to keep people away from her while she ordered things. Before, he'd have simply spoken up, but the menace in those simple words had been enough without an overt display of temper or force... Jafar had indeed changed him.

Edea paid for the equipment and supplies she had ordered, having procured two fast horses and gear. She looked at Zax, and pondered for a moment, before adding a few more items, as well as healing potions in a case. she didn't know what was going to await her knight, thus she planned for the worst - perhaps this was all a trap.

Perhaps it was. Zax let Edea order things and people around, keeping one arm on her at all times, just in case she stumbled, or collapsed, or something.. "Ready to go, Edea, or do you need more time to rest, and collect yourself?" he smiled softly to her, waiting for her answer before he decided on anything to do.

"I'm fine, Zax. Let's get going, before night falls. It will be too cold to continue at dusk." she said simply, walking with the short man towards the horses she had bought, as the gear was loaded onto the creatures.

The Knight nodded softly, moving with Edea and eyeing the short man in a way that, after a moment, had him slinking away with fearful glances back at the two. He held the reins in hand, and nodded to Edea, "Here we go. Coupla horses and we're on our way huh?" he preferred Chocobos, or rather Zack did..

"The sooner we get done with this fool's errand, the better. I simply want to get out of the gods forsaken desert already" she groused, as she took a step, gracefully side-saddling the horse, always a proper lady, after all. She took up the reins, and settled herself against the beast.

Sighing, Zax figured she more meant that she was sick of him than the desert.. He’d done, well, -something- to bother her, after all. He kept that to himself, though, and vaulted easily onto his horse, holding tight with his knees while it stepped about in a spirited fashion, "Awright, I guess we should get goin' then...”
