A Royal Ball open to any characters from any lands.
Who: Ashe and OPEN TO ALL
What: A Royal Ball
Where: Royal Palace, Rabanastre, Ivalice
When: Evening onwards
Rating: TBA
The scene was set, the night was young and Ashelia B'Nargin Dalmasca was the host of the biggest ball Dalmasca had ever seen. Certainly, when she'd gotten married and when Vayne had thrown his own little party, the festivities had been grand but she was aiming to outdo all that. Hopefully without a battleground at the end of the evening...
All of Rabanastre was decorated for the ball. The streets were lined with glitter and dancers; the skies filled with streamers and flags celebrating Dalmasca's long history. Everyone from every land was invited; guards that should have been protecting their Queen were sent out to inform other royals, nobles, commoners and peasants alike that they were welcome. The pathways leading to the Royal Palace were coloured with lights and each way inside was guided by luxurious red carpets.
Inside, the Palace was opened almost entirely to the guests. The only room off limits being Ashe's personal chambers. (Not including the treasury, yet that went without saying.) Of course, certain items of both personal and financial value had been hidden away for the night but the Royal would not make a point of it.
Music echoed from the ballroom and the Grand Dining Hall was opened to all guests where a feast had been laid out for the leasure of anyone willing to partake. Men, women and those yet to decide littered the Palace in most glorious attire. Some even wore masks, though it was not a party as such. It was an open and honest ball where no one had to hide unless they truly wished it.
It would be a night to remember.
Dressed in a ball gown of the finest white silk, decorated in silver embroidery and encrusted with Ivalice's rarest gems, Ashe was stood at the bottom of a flight of stairs that led down into the ballroom. Her hair was graced by a crown, though it was mostly for show, and her left ring finger lay bare. She had taken both her ring and Rasler's and set them upon a chain around her neck. With a glass of Serpantwyne in hand, Ashelia watched as people danced though she felt slightly ill at ease... and she hadn't seen Snow in a while.
There had been rumours that this was an engagement party, though the Queen had done little to quash the words. Let them think what they will...
