Sora was stood on the dock. His blue eyes were closed and his hands were laced behind his head, one foot crossed over the other as he stood there. Things were too peaceful for what was coming and the teen wasn't quite sure why. The end of the war was fast approaching... and it was worrying him that nothing seemed to be happening. He needed to meet with the King. He needed to know just when they were supposed to open this door together. So, Sora was taking some time alone, hoping the King would show up.

Goofy grinned at Donald, tip toing to the best of his skill towards the boy. He was bubbeling with excitement, and when he was about  a meter ayaw, he could not hold himself. "SORA!" He pounced him happily, "A-hyuck!"

Donald followed suit, diving on Goofy's back and clinging to them both, laughing and wiggling his tail feathers. It was just so great to see Sora again!! "Sora~!!"

As he was pounced on, Sora fell forward, right down, face first on the dock floor. A wince came as he hit the ground then he looked over his shoulder, gasping. He was bigger than the last time they'd been together. He was taller than Goofy now, only just, and he was a lot more mature in his body. He actually had muscles in place of his puppy fat. "Donald!! Goofy!!! Wh-what are you guys doing here?!?!" He laughed happily, hugging them both up.

Goofy was dizzy with happiness of seeing his friend here, and he held him tightly as he laughed. "Me and Donald been searchin' all over for ya' a-hyuck! Came to tell ya the Heartless is back!"

Donald nodded a few times. "Uh-huh! There are Heartless at the Castle!!" He shook his head, frowning a little. "We need to find the King and Riku and we need to get rid of 'em!!" Donald noticed how much Sora had grown in a year and it was really quite amazing how different the boy looked and yet how familiar.

Sora's face fell and he pouted a little, sitting on the dock with his feet pressed together. "I know... they're everywhere. But... the King... he..." Sora choked on his breath slightly. Why did he have to give them this news? "The King is a Heartless, guys. It's no one's fault but he got taken down by the Heartless... and... and..."

"Yeah! The Heartless took the Ki-" Goofy stopped himself mid sentance, and the big dogs jaw dropped in shock. He stared at Sora. "H-he.. the King.. he- what? When?! Gawsh, Minnie, does she know?" His eyes filled with tears, which rolled down his cheeks and splashed too the ground.

Donald's eyes grew wide and he burried his hands in his face, flopping to sit down too. "Ohhh!!! Poor King Mickey!!" He wailed, sobbing a little. How could this have happened?! King Mickey? A Heartless?! It was just... crazy talk!!

Sora reached out his hands and patted the dog and the duck on their heads. "I don't think the Queen knows... but I'm working with Leon and Riku and all our friends on getting him back. We're trying to save him and all of Gaia..." He felt like such a creep, giving them this news and making it sound so simple.

Big tears rolled still as Goofy sobbed a long while. The king had been a dear friend to me, and.. if he was reduced to a heartless.. It hurt. He calmed a bit after a while, looking up with still wet eyes.

"A-hyuck, We are going to save him! We're not going to give up on King Mickey! Never!"

Donald sighed and nodded to Goofy's words, though it was quite hard to stay positive. After a moment, he pounced on Sora again, hugging him more. "Gee, Sora!! You sure have grown!" He smiled up at him.

The teen laughed lightly, ruffling at his spiked hair. "You think? Riku's still bigger than me, as usual... but I'm almost as tall as Leon now!" He grinned.

"Geee, you are taller then me Sora!" Goofy exclaimed, reaching up to pat Sora's hair. "Donald is really tiny now a-hych." He grinned.
"You have grown so much!"

The duck threw a small temper tantrum. "I am not tiny!!!!" He huffed and puffed before giving up and just tapping Sora on the tummy with his staff. "You're almost an adult now, huh?!"

Sora flushed bright and laughed, nuzzling into Goofy's hand as he was patted. "I'm no adult! I'm still only sixteen. I'm a kid!" He grinned at them before pulling them both into another hug. "I missed you guys so much!!!"

"Gawrsh, We missed you too Sora! Did you find Riku?" he Pulled Sora into another hug. "We need to go about fixin' this whole Heartless problem and save the King!"

Donald nuzzled into Sora, laughing a little. "We missed you a whole bunch!!" He nodded firmly. "Yeah! We need to help the King! Are Riku and Kairi here too??"

Sora laughed softly, nodding to them. "Riku and Kairi are both here! Me and Riku are almost always together! We're boy-- best friends, after all!!"

"Yays a-hyuck!" Goofy did a jump of happyness, pulling Doanald and Sora both into a spin hug. "We are all together then! "

Donald flailed and scrambled out of the hug, feeling a bit dizzy from the spinning. "We are! Now, we need to go and find Leon and Riku!" He nodded firmly.

Sora smiled and snuggled them both up once more before heading off towards Balamb Garden. "Leon isn't here, not anymore, but I know where he is. And Riku is here!"

"Gawrsh, that is fantastic!" The big dog bounced happy. "We are ready to face adenture again!"
