Who: Maiyah, Lenne and Shuyin
What: Escaping to Zanarkand... and finding someone unexpected.
When: Morning
Where: From Macalania to... Zanarkand. Hopefully.
Rating: PG... For possible violence and... clothes stealing/cross-dressing 8D
Maiyah was asleep, curled up next to Lenne on the bed, nonchalantly sharing it with her. Her wounds were patching up under the bandages, but were still sore the following morning. She rolled over onto her other side, eyes cracking open soon enough to see Wantz staring at them through the crack of their door. Lifting her head up sharply, the door shut quickly, and Maiyah sighed deeply, laying herself back down and closing her eyes temporarily. She sat up, in her one-piece undergarment. Looking down at her thighs, she ran her fingers gently over the bloodied bandages.
She stood and went about quietly putting on her armor, not really knowing if Lenne was still asleep or not. They had to get out of there... quickly.

It was obvious she was a native, by the way she looked against the walls of the necropolis. Even now, after one thousand years, she looked right at home in the city.
Lenne walked quickly, straight to that dome, her eyes widening slightly at the noise and activity inside. "Maiyah? Is there something here still?"

Date: 2009-09-07 08:26 pm (UTC)To put it bluntly, Shuyin was still angry, even if he wasn't paying attention to the endless carnage unfolding around him. It wasn't enough.
It was never enough.

Date: 2009-09-07 08:43 pm (UTC)Her second run-through of Zanarkand had her on edge. The last time... well. It had been overstated. Who knows what would pop out this time... That and the air just felt... stuffy. She looked back at Lenne, "...Stay behind me... I can't tell if anything's here or not... but I have... a bad feeling."

Pure power. At first she was a little frightened but a Blitzball caught her eye. It had the symbol of Zanarkand on it and a soft gasp escaped her.
"Shuyin...?" Taking another step closer, Lenne held her arms out to the sides, knowning she left herself entirely open for any stray attack. "You must stop!!" Her words were loud and carried over the noise of his attacks, though she could hardly see him through the orb of strength.

Date: 2009-09-07 08:55 pm (UTC)It finally settled on one, of a young couple, one blonde man with a defiant glare and a brunette woman in blue with a beautiful smile. They held one another, in front of a massive machine, before Shuyin's assembled Bevelle soldiers gunned them down.
Over and over. Forever. This was his hell.

Date: 2009-09-07 09:12 pm (UTC)"...What.. is that..." Maiyah whispered under her breath. Her fingers tightly clenched the hilts of her weapons. If this thing was as dangerous as it looked... well... Maiyah didn't want to think about it if it decided to attack. Lenne's safety.. or escape.. was her priority.

Date: 2009-09-07 09:17 pm (UTC)"Shuyin, please..." Her voice shook as she drew nearer, keeping hold of Maiyah and forcing the other woman along with her. There wasn't anything she could think of that could stop Shuyin's rampage and even though she wasn't scared he'd hurt her, she knew he could destroy what remained of Zanarkand and that was just something she couldn't watch.

Date: 2009-09-07 09:59 pm (UTC)Using gentle words to shelter me,
Your words were like a dream,
But dreams could never fool me,
Not that easily."
Lenne trembled as she grasped hold of Maiyah, her body tingling where the pyreflies clung to her flesh. It felt painful and amazing all at once. She continued singing, her song that was just for Shuyin. The song she'd leant to Yuna to get the whole of Spira to remember just what had really happened. By the time she reached the chorus, Lenne's tears were streaked down her tanned flesh, drying in place on her skin.
They'll fly to you,
Crossing over the time and distance holding you,
Suspended on silver wings,
And a thousand words, one thousand confessions,
Will cradle you,
Making all of the pain you feel seem far away,
They'll hold you forever,"
Stepping closer to Shyin, Lenne continued to sing. She wasn't sure if it was possible but she could hear the music of her song playing loud and clear and it just seemed so clear that she swore it had to be real. Sounds created by the pyreflies or something along those lines. It was too clear not to be real. Her skin tingled all over and the scene of their death replayed repeatedly, in several places in the room.
They'll fly to you,
They'll carry you home and back into my arms,
Suspended on silver wings, on silver wings,
And a thousand words, oh, call out through the ages,
They'll cradle you,
Turning all of the lonely years to only days, only days,
They'll hold you forever...
Ohh... a thousand words."
