Who: Shadow
What: Finishing an assignment
When: Late night
Where: Treno
Rating: "R" I suppose.
"Out of the way!!" was the yell that trailed behind a harried man that ran through the streets of Treno. He was shoving people aside while sprinting, sweat dripping off his chin. His jacket discarded a few blocks back due to it weighing him down. His light blond hair mussed from bumping into people. Every few steps he looked over his shoulder briefly. He stumbled as he collided into someone else. "MOVE! HE'S GOING TO GET ME!" he yelled.
A few of the people looked behind him, but saw no one chasing the man. He seemed a pure lunatic. He continued a fast sprint and turned into an alley, to which many of the civilians merely looked at each other and shrugged. However, when he got halfway through the alley he slid to a stop. A dog was blocking his exit, it's teeth bared and a snarl reverberating through it's ribs as it stood threateningly, it's legs poised to jump at him.
With a small gulp, the man turned to backtrack, and managed two steps before a figure seemed to appear from the sky, dropping to his feet. He stayed crouched for one moment before rising to his full height. Clad in a black suit, a sash about his waist and a bandanna about his head the dark figure stared at the man with his unforgiving ice blue eyes.
"No! I've done nothing! I don't know what-"
In one fluid movement Shadow took a sharp leap at the man, his hand extended plunging an unseen dagger into the man's chest. Once he landed back on his feet, he cradled the man and lowered him onto the ground.
"W-why..?" he gasped as his tongue became red from blood rising up his throat.
"Do not worry why. You don't have the time." Shadow said as he stood up, still looking at the man. "Make your peace. You can ask that question once it is over." The man breathed heavily, it sounded as if he was trying to say something. But his breathing slowed, and finally stopped. His eyes stopping glinting with movement.
"Come Interceptor." Shadow said as he walked past the dead body. "We must collect."
