The young teen swung his Keyblade, gritting his teeth as he fought the creatures in the Training Center. His eyes darkened as the Keyblade gave a slight flicker, ghosting straight through one fiend, causing him to have to cast Fira on it to keep from being harmed. He wasn't certain, but something was affecting him and his Keyblade.

Riku entered the Training Center, moving into an empty space, twigs and debris cracking beneath his shoes. He held out his hand, summoning his keyblade, curling his fingers around it. He quickly moved to a group of fiends, slicing through them with ease.

Sora blinked as Riku entered the room and his Keyblade instantly vanished, leaving him unarmed. With a growl of anger to himself, he began casting magic to defend himself. Thankfully, he hadn't set the level too high and he'd manage to survive with Riku's help. Hopefully not getting too bad a mage burn.

Once the main group of fiends had been wiped out, Riku paused, taking a moment to catch his breath before looking at Sora, tilting his head in question. "Why aren't you using your keyblade?" He asked.

Sora scrunched his nose up, kicking a small fiend in the head. "It... it keeps vanishing when I try..." He mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

Riku blinked at Sora. "Vanishing??" He asked, frowning a little. "But why? You're the Keyblade Master!"

"I-I don't know why!!" He snapped, attempting to storm out of the Training Center, wanting to go to his dorm.

Riku grabbed hold of Sora's wrist, gripping it firmly. "Hey! Don't you dare take it out on me, Mister!" He huffed, pulling Sora to face him.

"It's your fault!" He shouted at him, yanking his arm away and making for the door again.

Riku stared at Sora's back, mouth hanging open. He furrowed his brow before following his best friend. "Why is it my fault??"

Sora headed out of the room, going back in the direction of his dorm room. "Because it just is!!" He snapped.

Riku jogged to catch Sora up, making a grab for his arm again. "Sora?!"

Sora swung his arm round and slapped Riku hard across the face, eyes filled with tears. "...no..." He panicked, making a grab for Riku's hand. "I'm sorry!!"

Riku took a step back, swallowing hard as he raised his hand to rub his face, wincing a little. Tears pricked at his own eyes, brows knitting together as he turned away.

"Riku, please, I'm sorry!!" He sobbed, clinging to his friend, hugging him from behind. "I didn't mean it! I'm sorry!!" He repeated.

Tears rolled down Riku's cheeks, dripping onto his shirt. "I dunno what I've done to upset you, but I'm sorry." He murmured, pulling out of Sora's embrace.

Sora hurried after him, grabbing hold of him and pressing him to the wall. "Riku... I'm sorry... I'm just in a weird place right now and... I'm taking it out on the one person... I hoped wouldn't turn his back on me..."

Riku scrunched up his nose a little, eyes still damp with tears. "I'm not turning my back on you..."

The smaller teen reached up and brushed those tears away, his own face wet. "Riku..." He rested his forehead on his friend's chest. "I can't... explain what's going on..."

Riku sighed and petted Sora's hair. "That's no reason to knock my teeth loose, y'know..." He huffed. "Let's go talk..."

Sora nodded a little. "Sorry... l-lead the way to wherever..." he muttered, rubbing his eye with one hand.

Riku took hold of Sora's hand, leading him to his dorm room. "Come on."

Sora gripped Riku's hand tight, sniffling a little, blushing as they passed a pair of SeeDs who gave them a weird look.

Riku laced his fingers with Sora's, his free hand reaching for his keycard to unlock the door, nudging Sora inside.

Sora staggered in and shuffled his feet, standing awkwardly, his hand still attached to Riku's.

Riku wiggled his hand free and closed the door behind them. "So? What's going on?"

Sora gave a shrug, hugging himself, looking at his shoes as he scuffed them together.

Riku sighed and moved to sit on his bed, flopping onto it. "Sora... come on, talk to me... What's wrong?"

The younger boy blushed, looking at Riku and shifting his weight from side to side. "I... I can't say it..."

"Sora... you can tell me anything! We're best friends, aren't we? Come on... tell me what's wrong?"

"My Keyblade keeps vanishing... a-and... I'm pretty sure it's because... I-I'm thinking... u-u-unpure things." He said in a voice so soft it would just about be heard.

Riku blinked, holding his feet as he sat cross-legged on the bed. "Unpure things? Like what? Murder and darkness?"

Sora shook his head hard, his face bright pink as he shut his eyes tightly, fingers clenching at the sides of his top. "N-not murder or darkness..."

"Then what kind of unpure stuff, Sora? What could be so bad that it makes the keyblade vanish?"

"S-stuff... about..." He stopped, taking a step towards the door, backing up to it. "Stuff about you." He mumbled, soon turning to try to leave.

Riku gave a slight squeak and jumped to his feet, moving towards Sora. "What kinda stuff, Sora?" He asked, sounding worried.

Sora's hands pressed hard against the door, his fingers twitching inside those fingerless gloves. "Just stuff..." He grunted, eyes on the door.

Riku sighed. "I can't help you if you don't tell me." He huffed, pressing the button to open the door.

Sora stumbled forward, staggering before falling to his hands and knees outside Riku's dorm. He winced as his knees hit the floor but soon pouted up at Riku. "That was mean..."

Riku frowned and offered a hand to help Sora up with. "Sorry..."

Sora batted away that hand and shifted around to crawl into Riku's room, between his legs and towards the bed, aiming to attempt to crawl underneath it. "Leave me alone..."

"Fine..." Riku mumbled. "If that's what you want!" He stepped out of his own dorm room, letting the door close behind him, before beginnign to walk down the corridor, not really sure where he would go.

A look of panic and fear crossed Sora's face and he ran to the door, opening it and running down the corridor, instantly curling his arms around Riku's waist from behind clinging to him. "Don't go!! Please!!"

Riku squeaked, wriggling a little. "I don't understand what you want me to do, Sora! You told me to leave and now you're clinging to me. I don't get it!!"

Sora sighed shakily. "I want you... to be with me. I keep thinking these things and I'm sure they're the reason my Keyblade keeps vanishing but... it just seems so natural to me." He mumbled into Riku's back.

"I'm always with you Sora. I won't leave you, you know that." Riku sighed, resting his hands on Sora's arms.

"Yeah... but the things I think... they just won't stop. E-even now..." He pulled his hands away, looking at the floor.

Riku turned around, blinking at Sora. "What kinda thoughts are they, Sora?"

Sora ruffled at his hair, frowning immensely. "Y-you know what happened... wh-when I woke you up the other night...? Like that..."

Riku blinked again, scrunching his nose up in thought. "Huh? ... oh... oohhhh... I get it now..." He flushed bright, ruffling his own hair awkwardly.

Sora squirmed on the spot before giving a solid nod. He then turned around, heading back towards his own dorm room.

Riku frowned, scuffing the floor with his shoe. "Sora... where are you going?"

"M-my dorm..." He mumbled, shoving his hands in his pockets, his shoulders slumped and his eyes on the floor.

"Oh..." Riku shuffled on the spot slightly. "Wanna... wanna hang out later?" He asked, watching Sora's back.

Sora stopped walking, turning to look at him. "You sure?" He tilted his head a little, chewing his lower lip.

"Well... why wouldn't I be? You're still my best friend, silly."

Sora gave a slight, rather empty chuckle. "Okay... what do you wanna do?" He asked, fiddling with some gil in his pocket.

Riku shrugged, looking at the floor. "I dunno... What do you wanna do?" He asked, lifting his gaze a little.

Sora scrunched his nose. "You asked, you should have something in mind." He crossed his arms, frowning slightly.

"We could watch movies or listen to music or something..."

"Sure..." He frowned more, looking at the floor. "...see ya..." He mumbled, turning away again.

Riku gave a nod. "Right... See ya..." He murmured, turning back towards his own room.

Sora walked along the corridor towards his room, sniffling a little, rubbing his eye. He had no intentions of going to hang out with Riku later. He didn't want to make his friend more awkward.
