Who: Squall, Axel
When: A short time after Axel arrives at Balamb
Where: Balamb Garden
What: Talking
Rating: PG-13
Axel had left his old clothig in Sora and Roxas's room, now dressed in a bit to tight blue jeans, and a bit to small shirt. It did not look odd just kinda.. gay? So we had his black Organisation XIII coat over that again, not wanting to look like a complete idiot. Some random SeeD had told him to head up the elevator to see the apparent headmaster of the place. Great. Another wrinkly old guy. Or so he thought.
Squall was sat in his office, his gunblade in bits on the desk as he cleaned and polished the weapon with a gentle care. Each part was inspected and checked, before being put back in place.
The tall redhead moved over to the door, knocking on it, leaning his hands on his hips as he waited for a reply.
Squall looked over at the door, before returning his attentions to his gunblade. "It's open." He called, slotting another piece back in place.
The redhead opened the door, stepping inside, very much surprised to see the young man sitting there. "Hey there dude, M'looking for headmaster Leonhart?" He glanced around the room, assuming Squall was a secretary, or something of the sort.
"Commander, actually. I try to avoid being roped into the schooling side of things." He wiped an oil-slicked hand on his jeans leg, holding that now semi-clean hand out to Axel. "Squall Leonhart. What can I do for you?"
The redhead looked at Squall, and the snark was out of his mouth before he could control himself. "You? You look even younger then I!" But he took the hand, his grin wide. "I’m Axel."
"I'm nineteen." Squall replied. "I've been the Commander here since I was seventeen." He clicked the gunblade back together, laying it aside. "What can I do for you, Axel?"
"Wow" he rubbed the back of his neck. "That is you- wait, its not." Axel had no real idea how old he was. He had always looked the same. "Well, I’m wanting to stay here. I’m Roxas's friend from old." he smirked, licking his lips, tattoos standing out under his eyes.
Squall's eyes narrowed a little. "You know Roxas?" He asked, watching the man. "How is that possible? He is part of Sora..."
"I’m a Nobody" He replied, still grinning. Despite being a Nobody, his eyes were full of live and mischief. "I know Sora too. Used to fight them, and then helped them. Was hoping I would be allowed to stay close to them." he smiled wryly.
Squall frowned a little, tossing a keycard at Axel. "If you so much as consider hurting Sora or Roxas, I shall personally remove your spine and hang it on my wall. Are we clear?"
He snorted. "Not planning to dude. I did not die and come back just to pester them. I’ve spent most part of my career trying to 'Find' Roxas". He snorted, taking the keycard.
"I'll be keeping my eye on you. Nobodies are bad news. The only decent one I've seen is Roxas. The first sign of trouble and you're out of here." Squall replied.
"Hey! I sacrificed my life for those two, don’t you go around trying to say that I’m bad. " he pointed at himself, the annoyance and anger feelings in his eyes quite real. "You hurt them, and Ill show you just how fiery I can be!"
"Me? Hurt them? I would sooner chop off my right arm and ram it up my ass than hurt them. I would go to Hell and back for Sora."
"Seems we have something in common then"; he smirked. "Of course, Roxas in my case." He moved back over to the desk, really fighting with himself not to get too cocky. "I’m a good fighter. Perhaps not as good as Roxas or Sora, but good nonetheless. I will fight for Roxas even if it kills me." He snorted.
"Good. You can look after him when we go to war with the King, then." Squall replied, eyes fixed on Axel's.
"Sounds good to me. But I want to protect Sora as well. Sora dies, so does Roxas, and I’m not letting that happen anytime soon"
"Then watch over them both." Squall murmured. "Don't let either of them fall to Mickey and the Heartless."
"King Mickey? I though he fought the Heartless. Why would Sora and Roxas need protection from him?" Axel had been in the nothingness. He had no idea what had gone on.
"He fell to darkness... He rules the Heartless Army now..."
This made Axel’s face drop. "Aw man, dude, that sucks." he stood up, crossing his arms." If that guy fall to the heartless do we really have a chance?"
"We still have Sora, Roxas and Riku. There is still hope." Squall shifted in his seat.
He nodded, looking at the keycard. "Well. I might be a Nobody, but don’t you dare look down on me, pun intended, or Ill kick your ass, dude."
"Keep yourself out of trouble and I'll have no reason to get involved in your business."
"Sounds good:" He made a mock salute with his fingers, stepping back. "Nice to meet'ya"
Squall gave a slight nod. "Yeah. You too, kid."
Axel made a laugh, waving his hand as he made it into the elevator, reaching his tongue playfully at the commander as the door closed.
