Fran was laid out on the spare bed with Tivon, her head rested on his lap, looking up at him. She picked a strawberry from a bowl, holding it up to his lips, a gentle smile on her own lips. "Do you remember the time that Malboro chased up all the way to the airship?" She asked lazily.

Tivon chuckled and nodded once, petting a hand through her hair affectionately. "I do remember. I remember neither of us could get its smell from our hair for days." He chuckled and took a strawberry, biting into it.

"You stank so bad." Fran teased. "The smell filled the entire airship, and everywhere we went we were thrown out of."

Tivon gave a laugh, stroking his hand along her ear. "I remember." He chuckled lightly and looked down at her, smiling. "Do you remember that day those men were trying to get you to go with them and I killed each of them?"

Fran trailed her fingers along Tivon's wrist, giving a nod, a relaxed look in those crimson eyes. "Mm. I remember. Always so protective."

"Fran... I apologise for the way it ended. I should not have asked that request of you before my death..." he murmured, glancing away.

Fran reached up her hand to touch Tivon's cheek lightly. "I do not regret it. Not one bit."

He leaned into her touch, smiling soft. "I have a regret. Dying is my regret, for I would have swept you off your feet and made you my bride." He chuckled and poked her nose.

"Oh? Are you so sure of that?" Fran laughed, an ease washing over her that she had not felt in a long while.

"Oh, I am so sure. So very sure as you were already falling for me." He laughed softly, reaching back to untie his hair.

Fran flushed a little. "Mayhaps I was. You were a rather dashing young man." She replied, trailing her claws though Tivon's hair.

"If I recall, my darling Fran, I was always ten years older than you." He muttered, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "Silly girl, always in a rush to grow up, hm?"

"Yet for all my years and wisdom, I am not so grown up after all, hm?" She murmured, looking into his eyes.

"Not at all," he teased, a soft smile on his face as he pressed his nose to hers. "You are as ever my sweet young girl."

"As I hope I shall always be." Fran purred, nudging the pirate's nose with her own, smiling at him.

The once older of the two cupped her cheek, pressing a tender kiss to the side of her face, smiling lightly. "You always will be, Fran. That is my promise to you."

Fran turned her head slightly to catch Tivon's lips with her own for the briefest of seconds before pulling away.

Tivon gave a gentle laugh. "It feels the same... yet different." He whispered, brushing his thumb under her eye.

Fran smiled softly. "Do you truly remember it? For only one of us remained once the kiss was broken..."

The man smiled back at her. "I remember as much of it as the Fates let me have." He muttered. "May I...?"

Fran brushed her hand over his cheek lightly and gave a slight nod, her gaze meeting his.

Tivon leaned down slightly more and pressed his lips to hers, his hand sliding back to cup her head as he kissed her soft and sweet.

Fran's eyes fluttered shut, her hand curling around the back of Tivon's head as she returned the kiss.

He kissed her tenderly, his eyes closed and his breath a little shaky as he did, and soon he parted their lips just the smallest way. "Yes, just as I remember it."

Fran flushed bright, letting out the softest of squeaks. "It... it was my first kiss..."

"I am glad I was the one you gave it to, Fran. Though..." he shifted to sit up properly, "it seems I have missed out on many other firsts."

Fran flushed more, remaining laid down. "Oh? For example?" She asked, her gaze finding his again.

"Your first time with a man, your first child... your first love?" He tilted his head a little, smiling quite sadly.

Fran brushed her fingers lightly over his face, smiling softly up at him. "Mayhaps you did not claim these things, yet... you were always with me, here." She murmured, guiding his hand to her chest, over her heart.

Tivon gave a gentle laugh, petting his fingers where she'd guided his hand to, smiling at her affectionately. "I feel honoured to have a place as such in your heart, Fran. Thank you." He murmured.

"You gave me the courage to leave the Wood. You guided my hand and looked after me. For that, I am eternally grateful."

"I only wish I could have done more." He smiled and kissed her nose gently. "Now, where were we? Were we not reminiscing about times not truly forgotten?"

"We were." Fran siled, curling her fingers around his. "A month is may have been, but we did much, hm?"

Tivon smiled and squeezed her hand just a little, running his free hand through her hair again. "We do so very much. Sweet memories, though we've a chance to make more, now."

"The Fates have granted us a second chance. We shall not waste it." Fran replied, cuddling into his side a little.
