Who - Zax and Edea
What - Reaching the Cave of Wonders! And such
Where - Agrabah Desert
Warnings - Nothing yet! Probably going to get there tho!
Zax huffed slightly as he heaved the heavy pack onto the ground. Jafar knew exactly where the Cave of Wonders was, now, so Zax had simply taken Edea there. Far out into the desert, on a cloudless night, the chill wind rolling over the dunes in a relaxed manner. "Huh.. well, this's the place." he put together the two halves of a golden scarab they purchased in the marketplace, from a shady vendor, and it shimmered before coming to life. Leaving a glittering trail, the thing spun around his head, faster and faster, before splitting and slamming into the sand. Immediately the dune humped up, taking on the semblance of a great tiger's head, with bright glowing gold eyes, "Who disturbs my slumber..?"
Edea stood beside Zax, not threatened or nervous about the growling intelligent being that encompassed the cave, her hand on Zax's back as she stood defiantly, smiling. "I am Edea Cheremisinov Kramer. Former Queen and Sorceress, with my knight, Zax." she stood proudly, rubbing his back, as she looked upon the construct, then to her partner.
Zax nodded slightly, swallowing back any saliva left in his drying mouth, but didn't speak a word. The Cave of Wonders, on the other hand, "What is it you seek, Edea Kramer and Zax the Knight?" it's voice nearly made it seem like an order for the two to leap to answering.
Edea paused, in defiance and smiled, "The Lamp that houses the Fallen Genie, Jafar" the name purred from her mouth, her eyes suddenly glimmering, as she pressed closer to Zax, to give him a bit of encouragement.
Zack nodded, and stepped forward, "The man may enter, but there is no place for you within my walls, Edea Kramer. He may touch nothing but the lamp, do you understand?" The Cave's voice was -loud-, and carried a fair distance.
"I trust my Knight, to do only as I have requested" she murmured softly, turning to pull him into a small kiss, "Just grab the lamp, dear Zax. Nothing more. We need nothing that the cave holds within." she said simply, stroking his cheek, "We need not riches, or jewels. They are fleeting. We have more than that at our disposal now" she smiled, stroking his hair.
Zax smiled at Edea, and took a little step forward, before nodding resolutely, "Right, I'll get the lamp for you, everything you should need.. I'll be back." he smiled, once, before stepping up onto the lip of the Cave, and taking the first few steps inside. When it didn't crush him, Zax continued into the living cavern.
Edea watched him head into the cave, sitting down at the partial campsite they had set up, knowing she could be there anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, depending on the layout of the cave. she settled in, keeping within earshot of the cave's entrance, to make sure she wouldn't get lost.
The raven-haired Knight descended into the Cave of Wonders, looking around with a low whistle at the mounds of gems, coins, artwork, and other goods. Things like carpets, spices, and tapestries were mounded here and there, tempting in their value. Well, anyone with a desire for material wealth would have been tempted; Zax had all he wished for.

"There's no way out of this for me! I thought you were injured ... I heard you yell! I couldn't help it ... I ran to help you!" she called out, wailing.

"Zax! Get out of here! I love you! Don't die for me!" She closed her eyes, the heat mixing tears with sweat as she closed her eyes and braced for the searing hot kiss of death.

Date: 2009-08-01 07:13 am (UTC)The man eventually had to take a breath, and water rushed into his lungs, smothering him and darkening his vision all in one go, but still he held on. He still kicked, strong as ever, though he was rapidly sucking in more water, his thrashing becoming more feeble.. Edea wouldn't be the first to die, the way he was frantically using his remaining air supply.

"All of that work ... for a little golden oil lamp?" she blinked.
