Who: Maiyah, Lenne and Shuyin
What: Escaping to Zanarkand... and finding someone unexpected.
When: Morning
Where: From Macalania to... Zanarkand. Hopefully.
Rating: PG... For possible violence and... clothes stealing/cross-dressing 8D
Maiyah was asleep, curled up next to Lenne on the bed, nonchalantly sharing it with her. Her wounds were patching up under the bandages, but were still sore the following morning. She rolled over onto her other side, eyes cracking open soon enough to see Wantz staring at them through the crack of their door. Lifting her head up sharply, the door shut quickly, and Maiyah sighed deeply, laying herself back down and closing her eyes temporarily. She sat up, in her one-piece undergarment. Looking down at her thighs, she ran her fingers gently over the bloodied bandages.
She stood and went about quietly putting on her armor, not really knowing if Lenne was still asleep or not. They had to get out of there... quickly.

Date: 2009-09-07 10:51 pm (UTC)She shook her head, "She is Lenne. She woke up from a long sleep in the Bevelle Underground. I found her and removed her from the Palace... we laid waste to many soldiers of the Temple getting out... and I fear we may be in danger still. Please, she is Lenne! If she's here, and you're here too, you have a chance to be with her again."
Everyone who was dead seemed to be coming back to life... all except Kaiyah.

Summoning would not prove it, for there are many other summoners. Singing has not proved it. What, Shuyin? What?!" Her gaze fell and Lenne shook her head slightly, walking past him and towards Maiyah. "This is not my Shuyin. He does not hear me. Not truly." She grasped Maiyah's hand, wanting to just leave now. Now that her heart was broken. Again.

Date: 2009-09-07 11:19 pm (UTC)Her fingers hooked under his chin and she tilted his head back to look at his face. "Believe in me," she whispered, looking at him with as much love as she could muster, the whole of the dome filled with pyreflies that created ghosts of Zanarkand; people, buildings, sounds, moments shared... it all seemed alive for a moment. "Shuyin, my darling, I love you."

Date: 2009-09-07 11:25 pm (UTC)"I.. I want this to be real.. I want it to be you, Lenne. I love you." he still shook, and managed to stand up, staring at her, before looking around at all the different memories of Zanarkand they shared.
He bit his lip, "They.. they destroyed it all, Lenne.. We let 'em win."

Date: 2009-09-07 11:56 pm (UTC)She grasped Shuyin's hand, pulling him towards the exit of the dome, frowning still. "Shuyin, you must meet Maiyah. She saved me." Lenne smiled back at him, jogging down the steps and towards the outside, frowning as she saw Maiyah.
"Maiyah? You're not leaving, are you? I need you with me," she murmured, looking at her friend. She knew she had no place to ask Maiyah to accompany her and Shuyin any longer but they were both criminals now. She didn't want to see Maiyah harmed or taken to Bevelle and killed. She was a dear friend, thanks to all they'd seen and done together, and Lenne didn't want to lose her. She needed Maiyah in a different way to how she needed Shuyin but a summoner could always use more guardians. Especially two she trusted so deeply.

Date: 2009-09-08 12:00 am (UTC)Really, what did the woman think she was doing? Even with him, Lenne had need of Guardians, people to keep her safe when there was danger, happy through her grief, and warm when chill winds blew. "Thank you for what you've done for her," he said it in a softer manner, and let go of her arm, "Please, don't leave her now on my account." Shuyin was selfish, he knew, but he wanted Lenne to have her friend, and him, no matter what.

Date: 2009-09-08 12:40 am (UTC)With a helpless look at Shuyin, she shrugged slightly. "Maiyah, we need you. So much has changed in the world that Shuyin and I have no one to rely upon but you." Leaning to look at Maiyah's face, she gave a weak smile. "Please, Maiyah. Don't leave us... don't leave me. You are a guardian. You're my guardian."

Date: 2009-09-08 12:48 am (UTC)He just about wanted to toss her over his shoulder and tell her that like it or not, she'd be going with them, but he figured Lenne wouldn't appreciate it. "Every Summoner needs a Guardian or two to watch out for 'em. Right now, she'd just be swappin' out a useful one for a guy who mighta been useful a thousand years ago."

Date: 2009-09-08 01:06 am (UTC)She looked back over the horizon. "As much as I.. hate Yevon scum.. for all that they've done to me and the people I love--" Kaiyah wasn't killed by Bevelle soldiers, but considering the circumstances to Sin's arrival, she might as well have been, "--I don't know for how long I can keep killing off soldiers... both physically and mentally. They are bound to find us sooner or later... I suggest we hide out somewhere. And I don't think Zanarkand is the best place to do so."

Date: 2009-09-08 01:16 am (UTC)Keeping a grasp of Maiyah's arm, Lenne curled her free hand into Shuyin's gloved one, looking up at him. "Shuyin. You've been... present in the world for a long time, right? Is there anywhere you can think of that we'd be safe?" Whilst the Remiem Temple came to mind, Lenne wasn't to know it was occupied by Nobodies but she did figure the soldiers would check there.

Date: 2009-09-08 02:00 am (UTC)"You okay with that Maiyah? I'll look out for ya, too, just worry 'bout Lenne. A Guardian always watches after their Summoner, and I ain't no Summoner."
