Who: Aqua and Terra
What: Leaving Dollet, taking the airship back to Rabanastre, awkward conversations and what they lead to.

Aqua said her goodbyes to Kid, Glenn and Serge, letting them make their own way back to their destination since their paths separated at Dollet, and called for the nearest airship to pick them up. Thanks to the sleek build and size of the ship, though, it only took half an hour to reach Dollet's shores. The time spent waiting went to her moving Terra closer to where the airship would land. Naturally it took her quite a while to do so since the man outweighed her by several pounds.

"Hopefully you'll wake up on the plane." she said, laughing a little as she sat down with him to wait. Since moving him had taken her several minutes, they didn't have to wait long for the airship to arrive. A man, one of the crewmen it seemed, came out of the landed airship and made his way to the two.

"You're the one who called?" At Aqua's nod, he grinned. "Should we wake him up?"

"Let's see the apartment first," she said, taking his hand to stand up, "After all, I have to know if I'll like it before I agree to live there."

Aqua added the last part in a teasing manner. She was sure she would like where he lived. After all, Terra seemed to like it so far.

"I mean, we still have the rest of the week to go get my things."

"Right" Terra said as he pulled her up and they started walking to the door. "My apartment should be to the left of the entrance to the airship parking" he said as they continued walking

Aqua almost didn't want to let go of his hand after standing upright, but let go anyway. She could still feel the heat from his hand. She suddenly got the urge to hug him again...just to feel his warmth. 'Okay Aqua, calm down. Just be calm...you don't even know if he...'

Shoving away those thoughts, she walked alongside him out into the parking area.

"Your apartment is close to this landing area? Pretty convenient if you need to go somewhere, huh?"

Terra nodded. "That was part of the reason I decided to pick that one" dropping his voice to a whisper, he continued, "plus the breakfast served at the restraunt in the landing area is really good"

'Ahhh, food. I should've guessed.' Aqua thought, smiling to herself. Whatever would keep her from having to cook. She was mediocre at best as far as making food went, but she still hated doing it.

"So it's to the left," she said, more to herself than him, and kept her eyes open for the building.

Terra nodded as he pointed at the group of doors to the left, "Right there, Number 626, like our blue friend" he said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder

"What a nice coincidence." she giggled. It would be nice to see that little alien again, she imagined, just to see how everything was going for him.

Of course, then her mind was brought into the here and now with Terra's arm draped over her. She had to resist a shiver.

"Certainly looks nice from out here."

"Yeah" Terra said as they reached the door, "Well here we are, home sweet home" he said as he reached into his pocket for the key, unlocking and opening the door. It was a small apartment, a kitchen to their right, while a living room was further back and the bedroom was behind a door down the hallway to the left of the living room, the bathroom connected to the bedroom.

"Oh.....right, there's only one bedroom" Terra said as he looked at her, "You don't mind do you? I could sleep on the couch...."

Aqua studied the apartment, nodding approvingly. It was small, but the price sounded decent for a place in such a huge city. It was very clean too, which somewhat surprised her. Usually boys were a bit messy with their bachelor pads, or so she thought.

"I don't really want to put you out or anything. I mean...it's your place." she said, blushing hard.

"No" Terra said as he shut the door "I...I want you to stay here" he said as he walked over to her.

She looked downward a little, then back up at him. Her cheeks were tinged pink again, standing out a bit thanks to the blue of her hair.

"If you say so, then I guess I'll trust you, huh?" she smiled a bit.

Terra grinned "That's the Aqua I know....." he said as he took a step before falling to his knees, holding his side. "Ah, that battle took more out of me than I thought it did"

Aqua's eyes went wide, and she dropped down beside him immediately. Her hands gently pried his from his side so she could study it better.

"Do you have a cut there? Is it just sore?" she asked. "Lift up your shirt so I can see."

Terra nodded as he removed his shoulder armor and gloves, before removing his dark shirt. A large bruise covered his side as Terra stood slowly. "I'm fine, it's just a bruise"

"It won't hurt to cast a Cure spell just in case." she said, standing up again. She sighed softly, relieved it wasn't anything more serious. She held her hand over the purplish splotch of skin and cast Cure. The spot faded to a very faint brown color.

"There we go. Now you're good as new." she laughed. Her eyes couldn't help but focus on his chest and stomach, though only for a few seconds. "I don't suppose you have anything to eat?"

Terra shook his head as he smiled. "Thanks" he said as he looked around. "Sooo you want to see your bedroom? since you would be sleeping there and all"

She was still uncomfortable taking his bed. Sure, they'd known each other for years and years, but when they and Ven went out on missions everyone slept on the floor. Nobody minded, and she certainly never asked for the only bed.

Then again, he had insisted.

'Maybe using it for just one night won't be too bad. After all, if I'm going to live here, he can't always sleep on the couch,' she thought, 'And finding a two bedroom apartment for this price shouldn't be too difficult.'

"Why sure. I'd love to take that tour."

Terra nodded as he took her over to the bedroom and opened the door, it was a fairly small room, the standard provided double bed was a bit rumpled and unmade, while a small pile of folded clothes were lying against the wall. Terra groaned. "Maybe I should of cleaned first?"

"No no, it's fine." she laughed. "Mine was a bit messy too last I saw it."

She sat down on the bed, hopping a little to test the springs, then flopped onto her back.

"Ohhh...what a day."

Terra grinned as he sat down next to her, "You know you look cute when you're tired"

"You think?" she tilted her head to the side. "I can't really tell."

Terra smiled as he leaned over, "Of course" he said as he slipped, falling before landing atop her, his lips touching hers

On instinct she shut her eyes right before he landed on her, and the only sound she could manage to make was a gasp. What exactly happened didn't slip past her either. But she didn't know whether to kiss him or move away.

She opted for both.

Aqua kissed him back once as her arms moved up to his shoulders, and lightly pushed him up an inch so their lips weren't locked anymore.

"Are you alright?" she asked, looking rightfully flustered.

Terra grinned as he nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine..." he paused as he looked at her, "Want to do it again?"

She was struck dumb for a moment, her face practically on fire. 'So it wasn't an accident?' she thought. She knew it was, but the fact was trivial and out the window in only a second.

"Y-Yes, please." she nodded. She was already pulling down on him slightly.
