Who: Kairi, Open
What: Starting anew
Where: Destiny Islands
When: Mid-day
Rating: PG
Her head was swimming from everything that happened before, in her dreams...It felt like her mind hadn't been hers, showing her all these memories that seemed to run together and gradually fall into place. With a small groan from finally finding a way to awaken, blue-violet eyes belonging to the auburn-haired girl named Kairi opened slowly and tiredly as her mind kicked itself into gear. She sat up, taking a minute to look around her and better figure out where her location was. To her half-asleep mind it was the Secret Place on Destiny Islands, but how...? "Did I fall asleep?" The girl quietly asked herself, getting onto her feet to stretch her arms towards the rock ceiling of the cave.
Seemed to be forever since she was here...and yet it didn't. The girl blinked the sleep out of her eyes, stretched once more and then headed towards the exit out of her, Sora and Riku's hiding spot.
Once in the bright sunshine of a beautiful noon day on her...not-native-but-still-close-to-it Islands the Princess of Heart lifted a hand to shield her eyes as she adjusted from the darkness and sleep to the light of the outside world. "Well...at least its a beautiful day." Kairi, again, spoke to no one, dusting off her pink dress before heading down the path towards the bridge where the paopu fruit tree was always waiting. Maybe there she could relax a bit and get her thoughts together.

Date: 2010-02-12 06:16 pm (UTC)"Hey, Riku!" She called out with a smile spreading across her face, breaking into a slight jog to cross the path and head in his direction. She was happy, but her head kept swirling strange thoughts around that she pushed away before approaching the taller--and somewhat older--boy.
"Something up?" she then asked him, before looking out towards the ocean as well. Something...pulled at her heart then, like a calling to span across the waters and maybe even off the world they currently had their feet on. It was like it had been when she was younger and all three of them (Sora, Riku and her) had wanted to build a raft to sail to other, new and exciting places.
But she wouldn't listen to it unless she had Sora and Riku at her side. Both of them. Because they weren't leaving her again--she would make sure of that.

"I wonder how all the other worlds are. And all the people... Do you think they've just gone back to their normal lives?"

Date: 2010-02-15 03:39 pm (UTC)"Thinking?" She questioned after a moment, but quieted to hear him speak. The question he asked...it had to require some thought. After all, she didn't exactly see that many worlds. The first time she remembered leaving the Islands was when she woke up in that one location, with the glowing heart...and Sora...
She shook her head, lifting it to look towards the ocean as she thought about that one world she had been on, before Axel found her, and then Saix kidnapped her from him. That one world...Twilight Town, was it? She couldn't quite remember, as the warm sun and the sound of the water hitting the shore was making her thoughts blur and try to trail off.
Shifting her posture so that she was sitting up and her legs were stretched out in front of her, Kairi glanced towards Riku and gave him a small shrug.
"I'm sure that the people on the other worlds are a bit shaken, but they're taking note of the past and preparing themselves in case it happens again in the future. At least, thats what I would think." She replied before glancing out to the water again. Another minute or so passed before she turned to face her friend, a thought running through her head as to why he asked that...
"Riku...if you're actually thinking of going to check up on those other worlds with Sora...You can't leave me behind. I'm coming with you this time." She added, sitting up a little straighter and crossing her arms.
Sure it was sudden, but the Princess of Heart didn't want to be left waiting for them again...

"... I'm not going anywhere." At least not yet. He wasn't even sure that Sora would want to leave the Island again...

Date: 2010-02-17 03:26 pm (UTC)"It's kinda funny." she mentioned after a few minutes of silence, opening her eyes to look down at the sand near her feet. "I mean, with all thats happened I thought that rest would be good for you guys and that we'd all hang out together and go back to the way things were. But...I can tell that you still want to travel, to go visit other worlds. I guess I feel the same way--just a pulling at my heart that wants me to travel across the ocean and back to the other worlds..." Stopping her rambling, she let out a giggle.
"I must sound confusing, but at the moment that's how I feel..."

Date: 2010-02-19 02:28 pm (UTC)Riku was still a dreamer at heart, yet he was no longer naive to the hurts and dangers that lingered beyond the horizon.

Date: 2010-02-24 02:36 am (UTC)The next thing she did was on a sudden impulse; she moved so that her arms then wrapped around him in a hug like she would do to Sora sometimes. (Said boy would then flail a bit before hugging her back. "I'm glad we'll all be traveling together...like we planned in the first place..." she whispered before pulling away and standing up to dust off the bottom of her outfit. Getting the sand off her hands, she held out one towards him with a smile on her face.
