Who: Selphie - and anyone who might happen along!
What: Getting ready to leave Luca.
Where: Luca.
When: Now.
Warnings: None!~

So the poison had finally been cleared from the air, and the city was slowly but surely repairing itself after the attack. At least, the patients under Selphie's charge were so much the better. The makeshift hospital was being taken down; many of the canvas 'wards' had already been collapsed and packed away, hopefully never to be used again. Selphie was standing in one small tent, smiling and hugging a young teenage boy and a younger little girl. Brother and sister, Selphie had found them, rescued them and healed them. She was teary eyed but pleased to have brought this family together again, especially having none of her own. She left the tent with them and waved them on their merry before turning back to get back to work taking the tent apart.

Seymour had arrived earlier that morning - much earlier - and had personally overseen the removal of the poison from the air. However, being the only active Maester currently involved in the defense of Spira, he felt it was his obligation to speak with the victims; perhaps to provide them with closure. He hated the idea of speaking with these weaklings, but it was his duty to provide moral support. Therefore Seymour, clad in extravagant Maester robes inlaid with Guado runes, dismissed his Guado Guardians and arrived at the makeshift hospitals... a little too late.

They were mostly torn down at this point, which caused Seymour to hold back a sigh of relief. As the half-human made his way into the tents, several people bowed out of respect for their theocratic leader, with Seymour showing them no acknowledgment. He occasionally stopped to speak with the victims, though most of them were on their way to recovery. That was when Seymour's amber eyes fell upon a young girl, who was clearly not a local. In fact... she didn't even appear as if she was from Spira. Seymour approached her slowly, his Maester's robes dragging on the ground behind him, looking down on the much shorter girl. He was not about to question her out of xenophobia, but simply because in times like this, it was not possible to trust outsiders without meeting them first.

"You are not from Spira," he stated, his long strand of blue hair covering one of his eyes. "May I ask where you are from, and of your interests in Luca?"

"I see," he said, noting her intimidated expression. "Balamb Garden... that is quite a ways away. You were here for the festival, then?" Seymour turned away from her, and cast his eyes over the workers. "May I ask for your name? I cannot be too careful in times such as these."

Seymour smirked at her militaristic salute. Something about this girl... amused him. "Selphie... hmm." He said quietly, and turned back to her, his hair swishing at bit as he did so. He reached one of his guado-hands out, the long, pointy fingernails running along one of the large veins in his face, before pushing the bang from his eye. "I am Seymour Guado, one of the Maesters of Yevon. I have been charged with the defense of Spira. I am here to gather information on the attack on this city, during one of our happiest celebrations."

Seymour noted her salute, and made a motion for her to be at ease. "I find myself bewildered, however," he began, crossing his arms, as the large, gaping sleeves covered his revealed, tattooed chest, "as to why Balamb Garden wishes to help us. What has Spira done to warrant sending one of their SeeD grunts as assistance during our crisis?"

"Hmm. It is rather bold of you, to praise yourself." Seymour glanced around at the people she appeared to have healed, but nodded. "Though, it is not unwarranted. I offer you my thanks on behalf of the victims of this horrible tragedy."

Seymour tried to smile at Selphie, but it came out rather awkwardly. It was something he rarely did. "If Balamb Garden didn't send you, then I thank you again. It is rare to find someone so... altruistic."

Seymour nodded, and turned away from Selphie again. "I am sure that these people appreciate your work." His hair hell behind his shoulders as he look about the camp once again. The workers were about ready to tear down the last tent, and while a few people still coughed, those that were going to survive appeared to be feeling much better. A worker then approached Seymour.

"Maester Guado, what should we do with the bodies?" Seymour bowed his head, and quietly sighed.

"Burn them. I do not know if this poison is infectious." The man nodded, and the worker made a few motions with his hand. Seymour turned back to Selphie. "I will be forced to leave this place soon... a mass Sending will begin, to guide the souls of these innocent victims to the Farplane. I cannot be present when it occurs, for reasons... I shouldn't specify."

"I told you, I shouldn't specify what those are, and I won't." Seymour said quietly, turning away. "I appreciate what you did for the people of Luca, Selphie. You are a friend of ours."

A Guado Guardian approached Seymour, and whispered something into his ear. Seymour sighed... it was time for the Sending to begin, and he couldn't be around when it happened, due to him being an Unsent. "I apologize, Selphie, but I must be leaving now. You are welcome in Bevelle any time you like." With that, Seymour turned towards his Guado Guardian, and left for the Airship landing pad. "Goodbye, Selphie," he said, and disappeared into the parting crowd.
